Thames River Trial For GSA Atlanta - 22nd January 2012

Milton Keynes Marina with GSA Marine are holding Thames River trials on the GSA Atlanta 24 following the London International Boat Show.

These will be just downstream of the Windsor Public Slipway at Stovell Rd, Windsor, SL4 5JB on 22nd January 2012. This is behind the Windsor Leisure Centre where there is a pay and display car park.

The GSA Atlanta 24 aft cockpit provides another perfect entry craft to river cruising.

Light and airy accommodation with 4 berths in one well fitted cabin, comprising of a v berth forward with shelves fore and aft and upholstered panels above and below. The v berth comes with a table which drops down to form double berth.

There is ample storage in lockers under both berths. The well equipped galley on the starboard side includes electric fridge, stainless steel sink mixer taps, it has a 2 burner hob with oven. The work top is formica with plenty of stowage space in the well fitted units. At the aft end of the galley is a full length hanging locker.

The dinette is on the port side with a drop down table converting to create a double berth; all cushions are made from 4” foam and quality fabric, carpet to the floor. The head is on the port side.

The display boat will be on sale for £34,950 (inc VAT). This is at last year price and includes £2,750 of optional extras. New build boats for 2012 are available at £38,950 (inc VAT).

New Owners Delighted With Latest Atlanta 24 at Southampton Boat Show

GSA Marine haded over the latest Atlanta 24 to the delighted new owners at the Southampton Boat Show on 16th September! Customised to the owners specification the latest Atlanta 24 has a number of first time additions, including an electric bowthruster, and non-slip teak effect dek-king added through out.

The Southampton Boat show is on until Sunday 25th September with GSA Marine offering a boat show special saving almost £5,000 on a new build to a similar specification!

MK Marina will be teaming up with GSA Marine to provide post show river Thames trials of the new Altanta at Abingdon Marina on 1-2nd October - Anyone interested in trying the Altanta out on the river should contact us urgently to book a test drive.

Great excitment at MK Marina last Friday when UK Boating film crew arrived to shot a profile MK Marina and feature one of MK Brokerages boat NB Elizabeth. UK Boat is the UK's only regular inland waterway television programme. News & reviews on UK Boating can be seen every Monday & Thursday at 8pm and Sundays at 8.30pm on Sky 166 Freesat 402.

MK Marina at Blisworth Canal Festival

Milton Keynes Marina enjoyed showing the GSA Atlanta 24 at the Blisworth Canal Festival for the first time over the last weekend (6th-7th August). As usual, the Atlanta draw some very positive comments with people surprised to hear it has 6 berths and a wet room! During August we are offering a years free mooring on any purchase of a GSA Atlanta 24, very attractive at a time when everyone is feeling the pinch.

The weather was good to us and we caused quite a stir in a traditional narrowboat festival! MK Brokerage generated a lot of interest also, resulting in the sale of one boat immediately following the festival, making it a great success and one we would definately repeat next year said Richard Goosey.

Interest was also shown in our special offer on leasehold moorings - buy a 5 year leasehold mooring for the price of 4 years, or a 10 year leasehold mooring for the price of 8 years. This is a great way to save money on your boating costs especially as these are both widebeam and residential moorings. Clearly this beats keeping the money in the bank when interest rates are so low and inflation is increasing our boating expenses all the time.

Atlanta 24 Displayed at Linslade Canal Festival

Milton Keynes Marina caused a stir at the 2011 Linslade Canal Festival by displaying the new GSA Atlanta 24 on a trailer at the entrance to the festival. The crusier draw alot attention, as did the MK Brokerage with a display of 10 boats currently on brokerage.

The sunshine brought out the visitors to the festival making it a very busy day with lots of enquires about the marina and about owning a canal boat and the costs involved!! No boats were purchased on the day, however, we are keeping our fingers crossed on a few very positive enquiries. As an added incentive, a years free mooring was offer on any purchase of a new Atlanta 24! An offer to be extented to the Blisworth Canal Festival on 6th & 7th August where the GSA Atlanta will also be on display.

GREAT SUCCESS - 2nd Milton Keynes Marina Open Day!

Milton Keynes 2nd Open Day on Easter Monday attracted more visitors than last year with everyone enjoying a great day out. Local residents and people interested in finding out more about the waterways in MK were all welcome to come along and enjoy the Marina.

It was a great day out for all the family with a whole host of activities and events throughout the day. The UK Dragon Boat Team and Steam Boat Beatrice were both out on the water along with the MK Afloat taking over 300 people took on short canal trips to get the real taste of being on the canals.

Cruisers, narrowbeam, and widebeam canalboats were on display with many viewings and a few lucky people finding the dream boats thanks to MK Brokerage - the only canal boat brokerage in Milton Keynes!

For those wanting to stay on dry land the local Fire Brigade were offering boat safety checks and advice on fire safety as well as showing the children around their Fire Engine! And the MK Play Association boat Funion Bargee was visted by over 100 children who took part in the pirate themed activites during the day.

The day is supported by British Waterways, Bedford & MK Waterways Trust, and Buckingham Canal Society, and the IWA who provided information about enjoying the waterways through Milton Keynes and their plans for the future. The day was free to all, with charity collections for Willen Hospice and the MK Air Ambulance.

We are holding MK Marina's second (10am to 4pm) on Easter Monday the 25th April 2011 where local residents and people interested in finding out more about the waterways in MK are welcome to come along and enjoy the Marina.

Events will include:
