General

Princess Lily is a 50 foot Dutch Barge offered with moorings at Milton Keynes Marina. She had a complete refit in 2011 including new Beta 50 diesel engine/gearbox , Vetus 70 bowthruster, and ballasted for use on the inland waters of England (include canals). Originally built as a Dutch Trawler Barge and is believed to be a Bakdekker, made in Steilsteven Shipyard Holland in 1940 as a bunker barge, delivering oil and lubricants from the Belgium coast around to the French coast. She was built in riveted iron plate and has been re-plated with 6mm steel plate. She has a modern and spacious feeling about her, with double berth to the forward cabin, shower/wet room, modern kitchen, wheel house saloon, and aft cabin. The wheel house saloon is fitted with a multi-fuel stove and provides the main cabin space. The professional fit out has used cherry wood with hard wood fittings, with a full Webasto central heating system and 240 volts throughout. Her boat safety certificate expires in March 2020 and is offered with mooring (subject to contract) at Milton Keynes Marina on the Grand Union Canal.
